Small Eagle on Wingtip. The Native American lore is that the eagle is the only creature that can fly to the heavens, bridging heaven and earth. There is no doubt that this is one of the most powerful and majestic creatures in nature. I have always been enamored with the flight of large birds of prey. As an adolesant I would hike in the woods in Guilford Connecticut and get as high up on a ridge as possible to watch the hawks glide. This eagle has a sun on his wing, denoting the place of his final journey. The designs represent the currents of the air we typically cannot see but he rides on.
