Green Tree Viper Sculpture. Spiraling upward, like a tendril of fire, “Dancing Flame” evokes the many Naga serpents found throughout Asian Art. Instead of the classical cobra Naga, this sculpture is a stylized depiction of the many green pit viper species (Trimeresurus sp.) found across India and SE Asia. This brightly-colored serpent defies gravity, as only bronze can do, rising gracefully above a geometric lotus base.
