I thought a long time about a coyote sculpture but didn’t want it to just be in a howling pose. However, when I thought about the song, he sings I felt this was the best pose to represent the passion of his song.
The designs on the sides represent the winds circling the half-moon, behind the head is a very free and melodic design representing the song he is singing. On the back of the head is a polished full moon. The chest is like a shield of Celtic designs. When an animal raises its head and exposes their neck, they are most vulnerable, so I wanted to create a protective shield design. Look at his face and you can feel him singing from his soul.
