Crotalus adamanteus Wall Sculpture. (US Army Sniper School mascot) This sculpture is based on the Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake (Crotalus adamanteus) emblem used by the US Army Sniper School at Ft. Benning, GA. The swift curves, bared fangs, and every scale are hand sculpted from photographic reference and live observation, not the result of “death casting” from actual snakes. The arrow, with its knapped stone point, sinew wrapping and feather fletching was also carefully noted and recreated. By agreement with the US Army Sniper School, I can reproduce this piece in BRONZE only for sale outside of Sniper School graduates.
